We Dems Have Got Some Work to Do
The new Diageo/Hotline poll is out. Despite all the righteous indignation pointed at Republicans by the information elite because of DeLay and Abramoff, more voters still think that Republicans are more honest than Democrats. And, of course, most voters think neither is honest:

Down-ballot, both parties have plenty of “ethics problems.” But at the top of the ticket, the contrast is between Bush, who leads an exemplary personal life, who NEVER lies (except for diplomatic platitudes like calling Islam a “religion of peace”), and Clinton, who is a rapist and a serial sexual predator, who can’t open his mouth without lying, and who had dozens of cronies taking the fifth and fleeing the country to avoid the law. The wonder is that the Republicans are only two points ahead of the Democrats on this.
