“Villaraigosa Tells Where He Stands”
I’m often asked how Mayor Villaraigosa is navigating the immigration debate. This LA Times Q&A appeared in today’s - Saturday’s - edition. Here’s an excerpt:
Q: Since you got involved in a very visible and active way a few weeks ago, what has the reaction been?
A: The letters and e-mails have been overwhelmingly negative, maybe 500 to 1, maybe a little more…. But I think we’re elected to do what’s right, not necessarily what’s popular.

What an idiot! So the American people don’t know the difference between illegal and legal. So he thinks that they were put in office to do his will, and not the will of the people. Who the hell does he think he’s working for? Oh, my bad…Mayor Villaraigosa is working for *HIS* people and not the will of Americans. JERK!!!
